The Lab: May 2016

The Lab is a new space for the creation and development of theatre performance. As of March 15th, The Lab is a new space for the creation and development of theatre performance and will function as a Working Group at the UC Independent Media Center! Rethinking Fanon

Rethinking Fanon was a day-long workshop hosted by Planners Network.  I led an Augusto Boal exercise and a writing exercise as part of their larger discussion of Fanon’s The Wretched of the Earth focused on power and violence.

Nature Conversations

Since 2009, the focus of my personal artistic work has largely been the environment. Our Relationship with Nature is an exploration of the diversity of thought around this focus beyond my own experience. Using an informal process of conversations, I began meeting with local residents in June of 2015. The conversations are audio-recorded and jump-started by eight questions I crafted specifically for the project. They are also being documented by way of verbatim transcriptions.
