Narrative Theatre Workshop
Saturday, December 8
2:00pm – 6:00pm
Fee: $25 per participant

In this 4-hour workshop we will work on dramatizing non-dramatic text using a passage from Haruki Murakami’s novel Kafka on the Shore.  The first two hours will be creating a performance of this text with the participants.  I also ask that everyone bring a brief literary passage that they are drawn to for possible dramatizing. The second two hours we’ll use devising and physical theatre techniques to bring the passages to life either as solo or small ensemble pieces.  A goal is providing folks with practical techniques for creating new work from existing text.

If you would like to participate or have any questions, please send a message via the CONTACT page.

Sunday, December 2
2:00pm – 4:00pm

Working on a new piece and want some feedback? Interested in seeing new work? Join us for WIP. Up to 5 artists can show 7-10 minutes of a performance piece they are working on. A facilitator will guide responses to the artist’s work from the audience using the Liz Lerman Critical Response Process.
