I'm happy to announce I will be serving as Dramaturge for Memphis, the musical opening at Parkland College in April 2018 directed by Jeff Dare. It is a challenging historical moment of music, race, cultural crossover and appropriation and I look forward to helping bring depth to this energetic musical.
It is an honor to be recognized with a Social Justice Award from the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, an organization steeped in a tradition of service.
I am excited to announce that the Center for Performance and Civic Practice has awarded a Catalyst Initiative grant to me (artist) and Prairie Rivers Network (civic partner) to develop a small-scale local arts-based project focused on Watershed Literacy. We're headed to Phoenix, AZ in December for a convening with other awardees. Stay tuned! CPCP Round Three Awardees
After participating in Smitha Vishveshwara's Where the Arts Meet Physics course for the past two spring semesters, we are teaming up with Kirstie Simson (Dance) to create a new multi-media, interdisciplinary piece about the quantum world.
