Joy of Regathering

Joy of Regathering
Krannert Center for the Performing Arts – Colwell Playhouse
Saturday, September 17, 2022 – 7:30pm

World Premiere

This original performance piece explores our place in the cosmos through science, music, and movement. The Joy of Regathering considers who we are, from the microscopic entities that compose us, to what makes us human, to the astronomical realm that we inhabit. “Regathering” is the focus, coming together after a long separation: as voices, travelers of the globe; as molecules of life within organisms; as stars within nebulae, galaxies within the Universe.

In the span of an hour, The Joy of Regathering brings together the arts and sciences—music, dance, theatre, visual arts, quantum physics, biochemistry, geology, astronomy, and more—offering a transformative learning experience, societal impact, and innovation.

This performance will include brief activities before and after the show. Seating for the performance is general admission (choose your own seat).
