Kate Fenton (dramaturge) is a senior at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign, studying Theatre Studies with a concentration in Directing and a minor in Comparative Western Literature. She is currently serving as assistant director for the Illinois Theatre production of Failure: A Love Story. She recently directed Mr. Marmalade at the Armory Free Theater and produced the annual Impulse 24/7 event there as well. Additionally, she is working on a research project that seeks to define the genre of Magical Realism in contemporary theater, using the playwright Noah Haidle as an example.
